THE VIEW FROM MY WORLD

As I will be officiating at a wedding this afternoon I think of my parents who will be celebrating 30 years of marriage. That is quite an accomplisment especially in this day and age where marriage is treated like a trial period in which the couple will see how this will work out. I think of myself as I also committed myself for life to the church as a Franciscan Friar and also as a priest. Here I also have my ups and downs as any married couple would. I ask myself will I stick trough it as my parents did for 30 years. I just have to follow the example of my brother friars and brother priests and say make prayer important in your life. That is where I will be given the strength to continue on.

So it will be a great honor to give them a special blessing on Sunday and may God grant them 30 more years. Congrats Mom and Dad on this your 30th anniversary!
