CHAPTER/RETREAT
I will be away until October 5th. I will be attending a Provincial chapter and retreat in Assisi, Italy. We as friars gather together once every three years to discuss different aspects of with our friars and province and also there will be an election of board members and at times an election of a provincial and a vicar provincial.
Since we will be celebrating the 800th Anniversary of the Franciscan Order in 2009 we are commerating the event by having our chapter and retreat this year in the land that our Order was founded. It will be a great opportunity to pray and reflect at the Franciscan shrines that are so dear to us. You will be able to be a part of it by going to the Province's website http://www.icprovince.org/ and clicking on "Assisi 2007" there will be photos and daily updates on our retreat and chapter while we are in Assisi. This will begin on September 27th. Please keep us in prayer and be assured of my prayers for you and your families.

hmmpf. You lucky.... I'm jealous. Maybe I should become a Franciscan Friar. You get to go to Italy and Lithuania, and Canada... (Br. Paul's in Canada now and he's from England). As Br. Paul says: "Join the Franciscans, see the world." Not. Fair. So how do I join?
No, I'm serious! Do you think if I shave my head and say things like "yo, dudes, whatzup?", "Man, check out that chick over there! I'd tap that" and "football! *grunt*" I could fool them?
Yeah maybe that would work but also you have to put on the brown. Be assured I'll keep you in prayer in Assisi.
