THE VIEW FROM MY WORLD

We are approaching the end of this month which has 31 days but next month will have 30 days. Why do they make is so complicated? We always have to check our calendars to see if this month has 30 or 31 days and yes, I do know about all those little tricks we learned as a child to remember when it's 30 and when it's 31. Why not make all the months of the year the same amount of days. For example let's make all the months of the year 30 days each month. So that leaves us with 7 extra days that we have to fit somewhere so I say that February sinc it is such a short month, just add them to that month which would bring February to a total of 35 days which would make that month the longest month of the year and even longer on leap years when it would be 36. You might ask yourself, then when would I celebrate my birthday if it lands on a 31 and I simply would let them choose either to celebrate it either on the 30th or the 1st. You might ask another question, "is this more complicated than the present system? Absolutely Not! Just think all the months except February would be 30 days. It's going to be so much easier.

Well, until the invention of the longer day, the longer calendar, the easier calendar to remember and the worry-free summer, we will just have to work with what we have.
