HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Well, today is the day when Mom is treated like a queen and she deserves it! "My mom is the greatest," can be heard throughout the day today and how's true it is. My mom is the greatest and I really miss not being with my mom on Mother's Day. Last time I celebrated Mother's Day with my mom was back in 1999. Yes, it's a long time but hopefully when I get back to the states I'll be able to spend some time with my mom on her special day.
My mother has always been such a inspiration in my life. She always made sure that her children were taken care of even during times of trial. She always showed my siblings and I that God is love and to always make him an important part of our lives. My mom made it to all our school concerts, parent-teacher meetings, graduation ceremonies (remember mom when I graduated from grammar school and you had to go to work but you called out sick and it happened to be that the local news channel was filming the graduation for the 6 o'clock evening news. You were so concerned that somebody would have seen you on t.v. from work.) and the list goes on. My mom was such a great support when I decided I wanted to become a priest. I knew it was going to be hard on her when I left the house that day in August of 1999 to enter the Franciscan Order. She helped me move in that day but with tears in her eyes as she left her baby behind. Thank you mom for always being there. Thank you mom for you constant care and love. Thank you mom for making the man that I am today.
